Ayres & Jenkins

Ayres/Jenkins are an Acoustic guitar duo who play a wide selection of covers ranging from Rock to Jazz. Al and Chris started performing as a duo in 2009 and have performed at festivals, functions and pubs all over England and Europe.

Al was a founding member of the cult festival band Mandragora who had great acclaim and many albums to their credit. Al is an extremely talented singer and guitarist and has the ability to grab an audience and hold them all night, he has spent many years abroad playing with top class musicians and continues to wow audiences with his ability to play anything he puts his mind to.

Chris was a member of another festival band Sub Trance, he then studied Music at university and is a well-respected guitar teacher as well as a fine live musician. Chris’s guitar skills are vast and cover many different styles including Jazz, Funk, Soul, Blues, Rock, Acoustic and Classical. His ability to improvise through epic guitar songs is endless and he has been called spider fingers by some aspiring guitarist in the past.

When Ayres and Jenkins get together for gigs it is a guitar extravaganza with Al’s powerful vocals cutting through the six string fun. There is no style left out when you hear them playing and their ability to take any song and make it their own is outstanding.
